The National Federation of the Blind Writers' Division is a proud member of the National Federation of the Blind, the Nation's oldest and largest self-help organization of blind consumers. We are made up of successful blind writers, journalists, publishers, students seeking a career in some aspect of writing and/or publishing, and those with a casual interest in all aspects of writing and publishing. Conducts a seminar and business meeting during the annual Convention of the National Federation of the Blind. Administers a forum to permit blind writers and others to discuss topics related to writing, authog=ring, and publishing material produced by division members. Distributes a quarterly Newsletter called Slate and Style which contains helpful information for blind authors, publishers, and those interested in division activities. Hosts a blog and podcast where budding and seasoned blind writers may post samples of their works to post online to gain public exposure via the Internet. Holds periodic teleconferences to discuss different aspects of composition, correct formatting of documents, all aspects of publishing, and blindness-related concerns effecting blind writers.Interests:
